Equestrian Estate Agents

Hi,

If anyone could help it would be much appreciated! Does anyone know of any good equestrian estate agents? Ideally for houses with stables etc? Ive looked online and can't see a great deal!

Sorry I only know some down south and to be honest they weren't particularly useful - no stock! We bought through a normal estate agent in the end.

I set up alerts on Zoopla in the area I wanted using the key word acre and another using acres which helped to weed out any properties that didn't have at least some land (although you still get the 0.5 acre gardens etc) - that might help.

Try Jackson Stopps and Staff, Wright Manley, Strutt and Parker, Jackson Equestrian. Its also worth speaking to some of the higher end agents such as Minchin Fellows, Reeds Rains Cream and James Du Pavey to see if they have anything that hasn't specifically been put in an equestrian section

Normal estate agents like Wright Marshall (think that's the right name, used to be Wright Manley) do properties with land and stabling in Cheshire. The very big, posh properties may be with upmarket estate agents like Savilles (out of my league).

We found rural scene to be over priced sometimes and a pain to deal with but the UK land and farms website was great, we had spent over three years looking and once we found UK land and farms it took us three weeks to find the right property

though you'll find the standard estate agents do many.
Zoopla is better for searching as you can put in a key word like 'stables' or 'acres'
Other then that its a case of searching right move or calling all the estate agents in the area

Barbers Rural might stretch to Cheshire too, I have just gone through this process and used rightmove and weeded out those without acreage, equestrian estate agents are a little pigeon holed.

Ive sold through Rural Scene. v good Bought another equestrian property through a normal 'townie' estate agent ;-)

We are looking in the same area as you and have found the so-called specialist web sites to be rubbish. I have just gone through rightmove and read every description on every property to see if land is available, either as part of the purchase price or through seperate neogotiation. It's a pain - I wish Rightmove would set up a search facility for houses with land!

The local paid for weekly newspapers papers have a good property section, with full page ads from many local and not so local estate agents. Might be worth getting hold of a copy.

Try Chester Chronicle (country edition) and the Nantwich Chronicle.
