I thought it might be of interest to some people that a new "social" navigation app has been announced for smartphones. The idea is to not only have a "bare" navigation app, but also get information on resting places along the route where you and your horse are both welcome! Besides that, it's possible to find routes and riders nearby, share routes and invite others to join your ride.
