Equi Ami or similar

After reading a few threads on here I have decided to get myself and Equi ami to help build my horses topline. Just wondering if any one could recommend a similar (cheaper maybe) equivalent. I don't have a school so not sure who much I will be able to use it so not sure I want to spend £90 on one. If anyone has any ideas they would be gratefully received, ideally looking for a balance of quality and price.
 
I have the EquiAmi combi (riding and lunging) aid and that cost me £83 with free P&P from Totally Tack. I was looking for a second-hand/cheaper one on Ebay for ages and never found one so you're probably best off getting a genuine one. I don't think there are any copies out either, unlike the Pessoa-type lunging aid.

Thanks for the replies, looks like the real thing is the best thing to get. Haven't seen one for £60, am I looking in the wrong place? Looks like the real thing it is then if it's worth the money. Just didn't want to spend a lot then find out I could have spent less on an alternative.
 
They are patented, so you can't get a copy! I think the difference in price is he material used. In the early ones they were using good quality leather, and I think they now do a version with different material.
 
Equiami's are fab!! There are no copies, they are the only training aid to work on a "loop" system. Pessoa's have cheaper alternatives but don't work in the same way, the equiami's are far better in my opinion. I have their economy version of the lunging aid and it's been well worth the money, has worked absolute wonders on my mare - she not only looks a different horse (topline is amazing!) but carries herself so much better than she used to, she really enjoys going in the equiami too. Highly recommended! x
 
Mine was £65 bought from the equi-ami website. It's the 'standard' option not the 'premium' option & it for lunging only not the combi
Stil good quality material & I love mine for making horse work correctly with no fights!!

Thanks so much, sounds just what I need. I think maybe I am looking at the higher end one as it says it comes with English leather chest piece? Have read a bit about the Pessoa and although some people love it the general consensus seems to be that it forces the horse rather than encourages it, and I would prefer he had free movement. I have best get buying then. :D
 
I have one I don't use anymore if anyone wants to buy it. Pretty sure I've still got the DVD too. My old girlie doesn't get lunged now due to her arthritis.
