Has anyone bought one of these yet please?

I was particuarly interested as I want to keep my current hi viz exercise sheet which is yellow but also incorporate an orange hi viz tabard into the mix as orange is meant to be considerably better under certain lighting levels.

I wrote to the company to clarify their claim that an air jacket can still work underneath the tabard and they have confirmed that it does and have sent me this video to confirm it does.

 
The price is wild. My not horse riding specific hi vis light vest cost a tenner and is elasticated so no issue with an air vest either 🤷‍♀️.

None of the 'pass wide and slow' and equine targeted tabards have any effect, but put on a X police coat and the traffic changes instantly. I paid £4.50 for a motorcycle police lightweight over jacket and it is the best bit of safety gear I have ever used in over 50 years of hacking out.

Yes I have the 'polite stuff' which really slows down the traffic but I really need something that will allow the air jacket to deploy when I wear it whereas the polite doesn't cater for that and the and the EL seems to do just that.

And I definitely feel orange stands out so much more.

Seems happier since his trim yesterday. Still padded his foot today, down to 1.5 bute from 2 and 26 paracetamol a day, down from 30.

Great in a straight line, better on grass than concrete and not seen him rest his front foot at all today.

Farrier and I had a discussion and he's agreed to shoe in front next time in five weeks time. We feel that will support his foot better with the hard ground.

He was pressing really hard over the heel area and no response. No response to hoof testers on toe or indeed anywhere. Says he has really strong feet which is what the vet has said.

I'm conscious that shoeing is going to have an additional cost implication and I have still to receive my last vets bill and with not working it's going to eventually eat into the horse fund but it is what it is. I've paid out over 2.3 k since before Xmas on vets bills with the kick (Part one and part two) and the foot xrays/scan/nerve blocks and teeth and the last shared visit. So I need to just see how he goes now.

His feet were in great need of a trim as you know. The farrier was surprised he was walking as well as he was given when he visited he was resting his toe.

Thanks for asking. His feet look great now and he trotted over to us earlier which is nice to see.

Had a frank conversation with farrier, vet, y.o and liveries as I got upset earlier in the week and everyone supports me to keep him going. It's not as if he's a ridden horse, being retired, and so long as we can get him comfortable there's certainly no need to call it a day.

I wish I could do a video.

I have this in pink. It's an excellent option and fully adjustable for summer/winter riding.
