equi-pings any good?

blaise thats awful so glad your horse is ok our yard owner had a bad accident with one dont know full details just said when i moved there they are not to be used no matter how thin. all the robinsons stores are so far away from me :( xx

I have an original equi ping. It's good and does its job but my horse who fiddles with everything when tied up has worked out how to undo it with his mouth ! 😏Will get the mk II when it's out as sounds like he can't undo that with the collar on 😊

What made me abandon baler twine was when I hadn't been on here long and read the saddest thread a mother had written who's daughter's (I think) pony had tried to break away whilst tied up and twine or whatever it was hadn't given so the pony had taken wood panelling or such like with it, it bolted across the yard, tripped on the wood and fell, breaking its shoulder and had to PTS, I think I have most of that right but may have some of the detail wrong (and I apologise if you OP are still on here :(). The poor woman got the most awful verbal beating on here from some posters whilst obviously under great distress herself when all she was trying to do was highlight what can happen and to warn us all. I bought equi ties the next day and if I have to tie up elsewhere on the yard where I am I split the twine to 3-4 tiny threads at most. I have seen other horses at our yard go down on concrete when twine didn't break and break headcollars at no doubt serious pressure to their polls/faces, also a cut lip with one that smacked the floor with its nose. Not worth it ever.

my equi ping arrived this morning will be taking it to yard later it feels quite strong so we will see lol thank you everyone xx

Otherwise, R&R stock these...

Cheap tip!
I've bought several and also more bungee elastic from Ebay to replace any that suffers degredation from being out in the sunlight all day. I just seal the ends with a cigarette lighter when I cut it and it's fine!

Here's the bungee...

Works brilliantly and I have put them on trailers, lorries, stables...

Always keep one in my pocket as well!
