Hi Does any one own an Equisport horse box in the south east area? I am very interested in buying one, but the company is in Barnsley, Yorkshire, which is a long trek from me here in Croydon. If anyone is able to help, i.e.wouldn't mind me and husband nosing around their van for a few minutes and live closer to me than Barnsley, please let me know.
Cheers, Debbie

I have one but I am not near you. I looked at a few makes and they seemed the better build option for the money. Few things to note, Bridle Hook in wrong place cant be used as the bridles get caught in door. Everything you put in the back gets covered in hay. The paint job is not the best in the world. Graphics started peeling off mine first time I washed it.

If you can live with this they are a good buy for the money.

Burley horseboxes did mine, they are Andover so closer to you and I am very pleased with mine, probably comparable on price. Tony is very helpful, I chose not to have removable breastbar (vehicle apparently stronger with fixed bar/wall) or grooms door (don't fancy crawling under horses front feet). Floor is totally sealed and walls wipe clean, pics in my album.

Whoever you use make sure that bulkhead is up to the job as your horses bum will be just behind your head/back. Mine has original totally removed and new one in with steel grid reinforcement (sorry not good description).

i have one and love it, we bought it about 2 years ago and have traveled the country in it with my show cob. We looked at loads before buying and equi-sport was miles away so we didnt even view, but we got a great van and it has an emergency horse exit and a bar on the ramp to stop the horses leaning on it which comes in handy too. the hay does get in the back but i use a bridle bag and saddle cover but to me that dosnt matter just as long as the horses can get out safe.

Im not sure if you bought equi-sport or opted for another option, the bridle hook, hay covering, paint job and graphic problem is still the same, I know someone who bought one and this is exactly the same.

Also Good Luck if you want to speak to them, it wouldnt be a company i would choose to use, website states open from 9am-5pm (sat & sun by appointment), they never answer phone and they are never open !

i know when we bought ours they would usually do all emails/calls later on if they didnt answer, its a small family company so i guess they are busy but i called about 2 weeks ago because we actually have looked into part xing ours for a newer 09 reg with them but they said there was a waiting list for 2/3months so we are going to wait til after the summer season.

I found it obvious that hanging haynets in the back will result in hay on the floor? but main thing to me was that there is an emergency exit.
