Am thinking of buying an Equi-Trek Multi Treka as really like the idea of having lorry style travelling position.

Does anyone have one and how do they find them?

I have a couple of 16.2hh's and am concerned that they will fit in ok.

Would be great to hear from anyone who has experience.

Thanks in advance

Why not look at the normal Equitreks as well. It is proven that most horses prefer to travel backwards. I have just bought a Show Trekka 5* (2nd hand) L and there is loads of room for my 16.3hh horse and his friend.

Id love one too, interested to see your replies. I did look at the tech info on them though and they are very heavy, reckon our 4x4 could tow it and one horse and they are not very wide. My horsebox is 8ft wide and he stands side on, reckon it would be a tight turn and almost diagonally stood in a multi treka. Could be totally wrong though.

I looked at equi treks and suddnly realised it was a very expensive option compared to being able to buy a decent s/h lorry for simalar money, then you need a big 4x4 to tow it

Thanks for your replies so far :-)

I have used a show treka before and was happy with it but could do with better living and overnight accommodation really.

We have been down the lorry road before and as we have to have a big 4x4 for other areas of work are trying to find a compromise.

Yes the width is my only concern really 7' versus 8'. Really could do with trialling one first!

Thanks again for your comments greatly appreciated :-)

Im in the same boat, hubby needs a 4x4, I have my own diesel car and we bought a lorry which is stood doing nothing. Horse wont travel in a conventional trailer, hence the lorry, couldnt get him in a normal equitrek but walks straight in a lorry?? I love the idea of a herringbone trailer, I just wish they did a 2 horse one or 3 horse with tack area as I think it would be borderline with the weight. Our 4x4 can tow 2800kg. I looked at a lorry with a 7'6 width and reckon he be on an angle in that so 7' is tight.

Equi-trek's are the best I travel two 17.2 in mine with no probs. Holds the road, very sturdy, easy to tow and the living is the best. No competition with a lorry in my opinion and you an hire one to try.
