I have a 2007 Equi Trek Show Treka L that has a few problems including a very frightening occurrence of wheel bearings catching fire whilst travelling to a show! This has now been fixed under a recall, but was due to the company using materials/equipment that were clearly not "fit for purpose". I now have a problem with the ramp becoming "mushy" and have been told by Equi Trek customer services, that the ramp is made of plywood and has got wet and so given way!!!! Surely that ramp should last longer than 5 years with very minimal use and being serviced and maintain regularly? I have asked Equi Trek to repair the ramp - but they are not interested
We are now thinking of making a claim through the Small Claims Court under the sale of Goods Act, but are very reluctant to do this as it seems a lot of hassle. There are lots of threads on this forum regarding ET's being of dubious quality. Any ideas folks?
