Hi All, I'm after some up-to-date opinions on the newer Equi-Trek Trail-Treka (past 2013) versions please? I've searched the forum and there are quite a few older threats remarking problems with build quality, wooden ramps rotting, axle/chassis issues, and general customer service issues, but also some very positive comments - and I would really be interested to hear from some owners/users of the Trail-Treka on their views? Are these problems still being observed with the newer models?
I currently own the much-praised 505 but have never-ending problems with my iffy loader, and after months and months of practising I am considering the Trail-Treka as it is side-loading - this may not solve my loading issues, but it would at least reduce the dangers of injury when she bolts out backwards as she has the space to turn... Many thanks, your views are much appreciated! :)

I had a 2013 new trail treka m. Loved it. Towed very well and very spacious inside - about a foot wider than the ifor as the floor sits above the wheels rather than between them. However, this means a steeper ramp. That said, as it is a side loader it is much wider and never had any problems loading anything into it. Much easier to load on your own, too.

Downsides - it did get pretty hot inside during hot weather, not helped by being black. And the ramp hydraulics needed work after about 2 years.

Only sold it as the payload of the medium wasn't sufficient to travel my 16.2 and 17.1 lads together, but the large would have been.

Hope this helps.

Thank you, great help indeed as massive reassurance that they're not all falling apart ;-)
