Equi Trek Trail Treka Trailer

I havent seen one in the flesh but I dont like it. I think the ramp looks steep, the trailer looks very high off the ground and narrow so would worry me with stability issues and if I was to have a forward facing trailer I would have an Ifor or Bateson which would have a better build quality if whats been said about Equitreks before is anything to go by. Sorry.

Hello

I hired one a few weeks back. They are really nice horses travelled well in it. I even put my sister in the back to see if she liked it. I have been thinking about down grading my 3.5 ton horse box as its pretty old and costs a lot to run but its pretty hard to down grade even to a brand new trailer.

I hired it for a day for £60 and if I had to get a trialer its the one that I will get.

Agree with Louby, the floor looks really high, has same amount of headroom as Ifor HB511 but with it being so much taller overall would have thought stability will be compromised, certainly wouldn't want to travel any of mine in there. Also weighs less than If 511 so if you had a big horse being silly in there dread to think!

Similar in design to the new Ifor's I think, but don't these trailers have a pretty bad reputation for not being too well made?

I have a 15hh light weight mare and a 11.3hh welsh A - so not going to be big horses!! - Does that make a difference?
At the mo I have a single Ifor - which I love and find it light and easy to tow BUT getting to the point where both me and my daughter want to go 'out' together - hence why iam tempted with this trailer. I also like it cos it has a side ramp, which will suit my Meg better than the front unload of a trailer which she currently uses like a bull in a china shop (possibly hates the idea of her sides knocking the trailer on exit!?)
Any more info / ideas about this trailer?

ps - I assume I could p/x my single for this?? (+ the extra bit of course!)
