Has anyone had any luck getting hold of them using the phone number on their website? I was thinking of popping down to Patchetts to watch a bit of their grading on Friday but I imagine their people will be pretty busy then so probably not a great time to speak to them anyway.

ditto the "twins"

A little history, when the Selle Francais stud book were forced to open their doors and regsiter all horses into their studbook by the EU directives put in place it opened the doors to foreign stallions, under the old guidleines prior to Jan 2006 any stallion owner seeking to breed in France had to be "approved" for breeding by the Selle Francais in order that foreighn stallions could distribute semen in France, this meant that after a tedious process of providing the Haras Sire with video footage of stallions in competition, video footage of progeny, copies of stallion score sheets, x-rays, competition results, along with a feee of 400 euros etc etc etc etc etc inspectors were then sent out across Europe to assess the stallions individually before gaining the final stamp of approval. It therefore seems logical that they now offer this service to stallion owners in the UK to be able attend inspections at a sibgle location.

It really does seem that our European neighbours are taking every oppertunity they can to snatch the best of British and claiming them for their own benefit.......
