Wow - Day 2 has finished and leaves just one day for this new southern hemisohere totally equestrian function.

It is being held at the beautiful 'Mystery Creek' event centre just outside Hamilton NZ. It is totally equine - with a sheep that was sure it was 'Field Days' a massive agricultural show. Quite funny to see the sheep trotting around on a lead with its young handler - was from the petting farmyard.

We have been clinics with David & Karen O'Conner, Andrew McClean, Jan Ebling, Vaughn Jeffries, Kay Hogan and many more. There have been demos for Polo, Polo Crosse, Show Hunter, Mounted Games, Horseball. WE had a pony club camp with lots of young children staying over for the night and having heaps of fun.

Home after the third day - my feet are sore, I'm tired but we have had a fantastic three days. The weather has been amazing and 12,600 people came through the gates to enjoy all the clinics and demos.

The games teams entralled the spectators with their dexterity and speed. The NZ development squad was out in force they are in training for when the World Mounted Games come to New Zealand in March 2013.

This is the first Equidays run in NZ - Equitana in Australia has been running for many years now with great success.
