Equidry leg straps

As the rain has returned, the equidry had come back out. The leg straps on my parka can sometimes snag Lycra leggings. Has anyone fashioned covers for the Velcro straps and if so what did you use?

I hate those leg straps on my long riding mac. But I wear suede half chaps or tall boots.

My Equicoat rubs my riding tights on my thigh and makes the material bobbly where riding boots wouldn't cover, so following this thread with interest!

thread it through a sock?! i’ve got 3 of them and i just get annoyed at it, but have made no attempt to solve the problem

When I used to wear a long waxed coat that had leg straps I used an acrylic fleece sleeve sewn over them, like a girth sleeve if that helps.

all I know the the equidry leg straps are really good at getting caught on the blimmin wheelbarrow handles! i never wrap them around my legs though

Yes! I avoid wearing mine because of this. My old rain mac had poppers on the leg straps I think so no velcro to cause the snag. I know some people cut them off. Surely something wrapped round them might work, maybe a bit of vetwrap or something. I can’t remember as it sits in it’s bag in boot for emergencies only

I have the same problem and have ruined a couple of pairs of jeans, does anyone have a good solution please?

I don't wear them... Did them up properly and don't open them up.
