Equidry -sorry!

I know these coats have been done to death and I promise I’ve read the other threads ?

I am on the brink of jumping on the band wagon but want a hi viz version as i have to cross a road to my arena, my air jacket is black and would prefer to have it underneath the coat, do these coats allow the inflation? Also, my air jacket is a hit air so the neck pops up, I’m guessing this wouldn’t happen?
Does anyone ride with their AJ underneath the coat?

I have both an Equidry jacket and a Hit Air vest. I do not think that it would be safe or effective to wear the vest under the jacket.

Check the equidry Facebook page, they had a video ages ago of an air jacket inflating under a coat, worked fine. Just make sure you do go for properly oversized & not a coat fit.

I've just had a look online & you tube has a video of a hit air being inflated under an equidry ?

P.s. I love my equidry & in summer it doubles as a dryrobe ?

I was wondering this too. I wear a black HitAir over a long sleeved hi viz waterproof and I'm still very very viz (so to speak).

Because it hides a lot of the reflective strips, i carry a torch to show I’m there but I want to be as reflective as possible too, one driver (on our private drive) stopped and said how visible my (old) coat was in his headlights, that was just down to the reflective strips. I walked along the drive last night with my AJ over the coat and felt very invisible

Then just put a thin high viz vest on top? Or wear a high viz with long sleeves. That's what I do. It's thin enough to spit if the jacket goes off.
Your coat would need to be absolutely huge to guarantee that once you're in the saddle there's still room for the air jacket to inflate

The neck of an Equidry is very thick where the concealed hood lies, I would not care for the Hit Air neck protection to inflate over that. My Equidry is generously sized, but I wouldn't dream of wearing the air vest underneath it. Over it, yes, as I am doing over a polo shirt in my avatar.

My Lite Hiviz Equidry will fit either my BP or my 2 point air jacket underneath. They are sized generously for layers / BP / or air jacket.

I know less about the Hit Air. But I would consider not fastening the neck zip right to the top, and think you would be fine. MIght be worth asking Equidry directly. I love my hiviz lite one for hacking.

I wear my air jacket under my coat all the time and it definitely inflates ok - I’ve tested it a few times ?
However it’s a Helite gilet and I make sure the jacket is done up with the poppers and not the zip. I don’t have an Equidry, they look plenty baggy enough but it’sa not to splash out on if they restrict the jacket.

How about having one of those tabards with flashing lights on them. They really stand out.
