I've just started one of mine on Cool, Calm & Collected after seeing good feedback on here. She had her first loading dose yesterday & although I planned to ride her I didn't actually manage it so I rode her today which was day 2 of loading.

She was seriously lethargic which is the only word I can think of to describe her, she plodded along with absolutely no energy carrying her head very low to the ground. When I asked her to pick up the pace a bit she would go into a horrible slouchy jog rather than walk on which is really unlike her. It's hard to describe because she was aware of what was going on around her & even managed a few spooks, but it was almost like she was sedated.

I'll carry on & ring EquiFeast on Tuesday but I wondered if in the meantime anyone else has had this sort of behaviour so soon into starting. I must admit I'm slightly worried

My mare started having CC & C at the beginning of June so is now just on the maintenance dose. I have to say I've been quite disappointed with it and haven't noticed any real difference in her demeanour/behaviour - she was certainly never lethargic. I'm going to finish this months supply and will then probably knock it on the head and save myself some money!!

Oh dear Yubbie, I did a bit of research on here before I started it & had really good feedback. Have you contacted EquiFeast about your mare? Everyone said the customer service is really good & they tweak things at no real cost until you get the results you want. It might be worth ringing them before you give up completely.

I'm going to have an 'off' day tomorrow & see what happens to my girl, I guess it could be the warm, muggy weather affecting her but it does seem odd as she's never been like this before and it ties in nicely with me starting the supplement. I'll definitely ring them but it's a bank hol which is sod's law. I'm hoping someone else will say they've had similar in the early stages and not to worry about it.
