Has anyone been to Equifest before, is it worth going to ?

I have e-mailed the organiser asking a few questions but she hasn’t replied so I thought I’d ask them on here!

Do you have to qualify for it and if so how do you qualify?
Do you have to become a member of any society to go to the show?
I wanted to do the ridden hunter and working hunter classes, will there be a ride judge and what will the height of the fences be in the workers class?

Thanks :D

Haven't been but have heard good reports of it and again from what I hear the secretary is really efficient so I am sure you will get a response. Again as far as I know they have open classes and then the championship classes which you have to qualify for beforehand. Am sure you will get a far more helpful response as fairly certain a few people reported on HHO about it last year.

the two main wh classes havea ride judge, this year they were 3ft3 nove and 4ft for the open class

all ridden hunter classes have ride judges

What a rip off !!!!

I have been trying to organise stabling either on site, or in a local yard for weeks to EQUIFEST :mad:

I have just found out that there are competitors that are being allowed to stable their ponies on there own horse boxes :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

If paying thru the nose isn't bad enough for temp stables to an overated & over priced show, why dont they at least keep the rules & policied FAIR,

why rip of competitors for stables, then cannot supply enough of them, they allow (on the quiet, if you complain long & hard enough) to secretly let the chosen few, stable there ponies YES PLURAL!!! on there boxes

:mad::confused::mad::confused::mad::confused::mad::confused::mad::confused:
