Equiflex...experiences?also seaweed?

I am struggling to afford the dynamic,but heard yrs ago how good this stuff was?at the time i thought it was expensive,but after looking it up i can get it from guernsey postage free for £17 something,will last about 6 wks,so in all a hell of a lot cheaper than bluechip dynamic

Also experiences of feeding seaweed,was on the equivite multi vit for yrs,but again have had to rethink due to cashflow

,it is supposed to be a a good vit supplement etc?experiences anybody?

Had experience with seaweed, sent all four mares wappy, some years ago so haven't fed it since.

Have never known anything in all the yrs i have had the boy send him loopy,not from not trying to spice him up at times

It didn't do anything for either of mine the only thing that has made any difference (one arthritic and one with ligament issues) is superflex.

Am also trying arthriaid which seems to be working and just about to try mobifor (vet strength superflex).

Seaweed is meant to be good for coats but I feed linseed and black sunflower seeds so their coats are glossy enough.

I've used Equiflex for about 3 years - on recommendation from my vet when my insurance stopped paying for Cosequin. I didn't notice any drop off in performance when I changed, but some months later I did think that Molly was a bit "off" - about 2 days after I notice this, one of the grooms at the yard mentioned that the Equiflex had run out about a week before. I got some more, put her back on it and she perked up within a few days. Coincidence? Maybe but I'm keeping her on it!!

I use a different joint supplement but I have seaweed. It stinks!!!! I hide it a bit with cider vinegar but it's pretty pungent stuff. It is a fairly complete vitamin and mineral supplement but it contains a lot of iodine, which isn't good for some horses (can't remember why

sorry) my two are also horizontal geldings.

Equiflex works well on my clicky connie. Plus the price is much more competitive which is always a bonus. If you look at the ingredients its much the same as other more expensive supplements such as SuperFlex.

yes you are right about the iodine

,cannot be fed with certain other supps and shouldnt be fed to expectant mares!My lad eats anything

,am lucky really!
Bought it as a replacement for the equivite due to it being an allround vit supp!

Thanx guys,i have looked at the glucosamine etc comparison and it pretty much the same as all others at half price,am feeding as a preventative so dont expect to see miraculous results,just want to do the best by him which is why he went on the dynamic but HELL it is expensive(admittedly his movement did improve,he was alot free'er threw his shoulders etc,and yes i would recommend it to people,but i just cant afford it

i use seaweed and it makes there coats lovely and gives them all the vit/mins trace elements amio acids they need very good stuff!
