I've used the free version of Equilab for years for traching my hacks and other riding, but they've now limited some of its features to the paid version. I'm trying to weigh up whether it'd worth upgrading but the website isn't very clear on what exactly you get for your money. Can anyone clarify/advise please?

I have had the paid version for a few years as I hack alone so use that feature. My partner has the free version and can see where I am on my hack. Any friends with premium can see when you're riding (you can turn this off).

In detailed stats you can see: Speed, elevation, transition, tempo, stride. There are averages and tops for some of these. (I'm not sure much access there was to these in the free version).

I do the challenges to help motivate myself so aim for say 15 rides, 20 hours etc.

The trail feature is relatively new.

I would say these are the main features.

Ive used for years and never paid. I am not sure anyone I know used the paid version. I think the only part that may benefit me is the live safety tracking but other than that nothing really
Sadly they've taken a lot of the detailed stats off the free version now, such as speed within gaits, which is something I find very useful.

I used the paid version as it tells me how fast we gallop.

I use Equilab but our signal is awful where I stable and ride so results are not good and I expect other apps would have similar problems.
