I'm thinking of getting the Equilibrium Tri-Zone All Sports Boots for when I do cross country and show jumping. Can anyone who has them tell me a bit more about them / how they get on with them please. Have they got enough protection for xc? How breathable are they? How durable are they? Are they true to size? Thanks

I have the tri-zone brushing boots so not the same cut but I can say they are extremely breathable and dry very quickly (if they get wet in water etc). I’d say they’re pretty true to size too

My daughter and I have gathered up quite a few sets over the years, mostly 2nd hand. We've used nothing else since they first came out. So I can say they are durable, very breathable, lightweight, cool, wash well and easily, and give plenty of protection. We hav never had one slip down. We don't have any of the latest style, but they looked to have changed the straps. The velcro on the previous generations is incredibly grabby - it can be a little annoying trying to undo them at times, because they re-fasten as quickly as you un-fasten! But they definitely stay done up through multiple water jumps etc.

I had some too. I got them after the supposedly better ones had a polycarb plate inside shatter and one of the pieces injured the horse through the foam interior. The Trizone boots seemed safe and have a lot of protection. I had a few sets of ones with a polycarb sheet and got rid of them all.

I've always been worried that could happen with the plates but usually got laughed/ brushed off as it not being possible so I'll stay steering clear of them!

I've got a set of the tri-zone hi impact boots for xc and have been really impressed with them, I've really struggled in the past to find xc boots that don't slip or rub a tb.
