Equilibrium close contact chaps?

Am thinking of getting a pair of these for this winter to put on my live-out TB to see if they can help prevent mud fever? I was thinking of putting a good barrier cream underneath and these on top... Has anyone used them, do they work?

You can't put barrier cream under them and you can't leave them on for more than 12 hours and they can only be used on dry, mud fever free legs so no I don't think they would be suitable for you!

Ok, maybe not a good plan then! Might just have to be the barrier cream...
