equilibrium magnetic back pad

Yep I use one for my little lad for his cushings.

I use it every night.

Does work and am impressed with it-washes well too

The only drawback is they really only make it for horses-I have had to really modify mine so it will fit a pony-lots of sewing required.

The pony in question does not mind it at all and knows it goes on first.

Yep. Use mine about 2 -3 times a week. Always put on when we arrive at competion. Found good on low setting while I plait - horse stands and starts to doze of.

Only downside to mine (& no doubt due to my horse) but it always slips to the left.

I have the magnetic pad but have never used it as it came free with the battery powered pad.

I am going to eBay it I think as don't see the point in having 2 x back pads but I am reluctant as I am such a hoarder! :)

Yes, I really rate the magnetic back pads. I've got a couple of them and they're excellent - really make a difference. Just make sure you put them on tightly enough or you'll find your horse can escape from them!

how long do you keep it on for NJ and how often do you use it. I was planning on overnight, but that may mean that there are days where is could be almost 24 hours (horse is at a livery yard, so getting before work may be difficult)

do you think there would be any issues with that? I know on the packaging it says you can use it 24 -7 i am just a bit cautious as never used one before.

I wouldn't do that unless you were planning on massaging his tummy!?! ;-))

haha i had to on Wed night out of necessity, and was quite surprised yesterday to find it in perfect position... although it is the magnetic one and not the massage one, so maybe that makes a difference??

Also he is in reltively lean condition as the eventing season is just a few weeks away, might have something to do with it :)

I could have also written that! I got mine free with the massage pad (from Frogpool a few years ago) and have never used it.... yet keep it 'as you never know when i may need it....'
