I have an Equilirium pad which I have bought second hand from a friend. Its in excellent condition, she's only had it 18 months but lost her horse so wanted to sell it. I bought it off her for a very reasonable price but right away noticed problems with the panel on the pad not coming on despite the lead being plugged in to the battery pack inside the pocket of the pad. Sometimes it comes on but straight away goes out again.
I assumed the battery was flat so recharged the battery even though she said she had charged it prior to her selling it me and I'd used it once and it had worked although seemed to switch off very fast (within 10 mins).
I have noticed that the battery pack won't charge, the little red light that indicates its charging keeps going out anywhere after a few seconds to a few minutes. As it has to have the charger plug which is an equilibrium product in order to charge it I am a bit loathe to try another plug (its a sealed plug unit and sealed battery pack). I assume its the battery pack that's faulty although of course it could be the charger itself. I've tried wobbling the wires (not very technical I know) but it doesn't make any difference so its not a loose connection.
Has anyone else had a problem with this please? I feel a bit bad about asking her as she has really taken care of the massage pad, you can tell that by how clean and how little wear there is. I might try and contact Equilibrium if I can find others that have had problems with their chargers/battery packs.
