Need an honest opinion on these pads. Do you think they actually do help horses that need massaging due to have back issues? Are the vibrations strong enough to do any good?

I'm interested in this aswell, had osteopath out last wk and it seems my mare holds alot of tension in her back muscles, and something like this may help pre and post exercise.

Thanks for replies but I really need to know if it makes a difference with back injuries and not that it warms them up.
And how strong vibrations are, if they penetrate tissue and muscle.

I tried it on my very sensitive mare and it made no diff at all. My massage therapist said that as a "massage" product it was useless as it vibrates rather than massages.

As ever horses for courses

We have one & use it on both our horses, it certainly relaxes them. We have an ASCAP registered physio come & check them twice a year & before getting one we spoke to her about it. She believed they were good to use on the horse as they certainly relax them. They massage & warm the back Which does them good. They are reasonably priced & we use ours alot. I certainly wouldn't buy the Equissage though, not that I don't think they do any good, I just believe they are far too expensive, this is echoed by our physio.

You will see several different opinions of this product, the only way you will be able to decide is to try one. Some people do have totally unrealistic expectations of these machines abilities though.
