Hi,

My horse is currently recovering from a serious tendon injury and I have just been given the go ahead from the vets to start ridden walk work (day 3 with lots of fingers crossed and touching wood).

I am lucky enough to have been able to borrow a equisage unit from a friend. Freddie loves this and as he has had 5 months off work, I believe this is helping to keep him free moving as I bring him back into work.

However it does not seem fair to keep borrowing this and so I have been looking at more affordable options. I just wondered if anyone had any experience of the equilibrium unit (good or bad).

I have actually posting this in the new lounge as well but thought maybe people on here may have used it if they had horses with back problems.

For any of you that have followed my problems with Freddie I'm sure you realise how thrilled I am to be riding him again !!

hi wigfred
yes i've been following your 'story'., so i wish you luck and fingers crossed for you, its great to get back on is'it!!
i use a magnetic rug for my horse and i do believe it has benifical effects but will be interested in the replies to this post though!!

Hi and thanks Blackned,

Yep it feels great, neddy has been an absolute dream to ride (with no sedative etc). Its very early days and I just take it one day at a time and enjoy every moment.

I have posted about the massage pad on the new lounge (with a few more replies), people seem to be positive about it but they havent had it very long.

The blurb says about independent tests!!-- In my usual investigative style I may e-mail to see where I can find the results of them.

Will let you know how I get on.

Thanks for your good wishes.

used it regularly on a horse who gets very tight back muscles and it is working for him and is keeping him sound muscularly as he is affected very quickly by tight muscles

i've got one, bought it at Burghley, have used it a couple of times, mare seems very happy in it, i take her out for grazing in hand with it on (i know it says "only use in stable" but she's sensible, and it seems soothing, not aggravating. fits much better than an equissage, imho... (i have one here at the moment - belongs to visiting horse - and i am very unimpressed with the fit of it, the fact that it sits right on the withers, etc.) the Equilibrium pad might not work as deeply but it seems comfortable for the horse and relaxing. no idea how good it is yet though, obv.
