Equilibrium Stretch & Flex Boots from equestrian clearance?

We have a set on the yard.

Can't see what protection they offer to the horse at all. So not something that I would buy for my own nag.

I would agree with amymay on that, I have a few pairs, inherited and bought - in my arena the sand is orange and the boots quickly stained, and even though I have machine washed them loads, they are permanently stained, other boots come up clean in the machine.

Also, with no panels on them whatsoever, they will not protect from knocks/brushing etc. whish is the point, in my book, for wearing boots.

Also, no boots or any velcro or indeed most bandaging, will ever offer support, and if you do bandage so effectively that you are supporting, you have to consider, will you be weakening the horse's tendons/ligaments by doing this?

Sorry to sound down on those, must be PMT.......

No, They came with Beau, I dont use boots for either of mine.

Ive used the wraps only when I had Beau in his pessoa a couple of times, just as an extra bit of protection as I dont have any other boots for him, mainly because I cant find any to fit, but he has never overreached or anything so I dont see the need TBH.

Basically, I just think they look a bit posh and are easier than bandaging lol.

They are a quicker version of bandages. Would only think of using the training wraps as they are thicker and more supportive than the schooling wraps.

I've got some and love them, do look smart when working in, but nothing beats good old bandaging......if they're going cheap whats the harm...enjoy

I have some and feel they are useless, there are cheaper boots out there which will give you more protection. Sorry But I have spent so much money on expensive boots in the past and then they don't work it really annmoys me - I gave them away otherwise you could have had mine!!

I agree, I find they don't really offer any support and that sand from the school gets inside them really easily and I have both types of them for some strange reason. Sticking to Eskadron boots and bandages in future !

Ok am getting really naffed off with myself now - how do I get my signature pictures into a line across the bottom instead of the ridiculous way I've managed to put them !!!

If anyone is looking for a lovely saddle cloth I have this one and it's fantastic. Couldn't believe it when I looked on the link and it's only £11.99 it's really worth it. Comes up bright white after every wash

I have a set of 4 with 'hi-vis' velcro fasteners, but they aren't they're just green! They look smart, but as they are soft all round i don't think they offer much protection and to be honest they are now stuck at the back of the drawer as I always keep going back to my WoofWear (club boots for hacking out as they have proper hi-viz and reflective straps).

Well I love them. They are light, easy to use, long lasting and the legs don't sweat under them. I find they give adequate of protection against knocks and bumps (which is all any boot or bandage will do. The whole support thing is nonsense) for flat work though If I were going cross country I would probably use something more substantial.
