Has anyone tried these? I've just bought a pair but not used them yet. I'm hoping that they will help with my leg position in canter. My right leg seems to have a mind of its own and it often goes too far back.

They seem a bit complicated to fit too, which I wasn't expecting! I am guessing that the higher up you fit them the less effective (or constraining) they will be?

I have used them. I fitted them low down as you still need to give aids. I found them useful and discovered one of my legs moved far more than the other. The strange thing is it was the one I felt was stiller. I managed to lose one of the straps so didn't use them long, but did make me more aware.

Thanks Whyworry. I think I am going to ask my instructor to help me fit them as I am easily confused! I am hoping that they will help me "train" my legs to stay in the right position. The straps would be awfully easy to lose though......

My mum bought some, but they never made it out of the packet as we couldn't figure out how to use them

Baling twine was just much simpler and quicker than the straps!

fairhill - I used to use that many moons ago and it worked! I was put off using it recently by one of my friends whose OH is a farmer because she told me that it's now made of stronger, almost unbreakable nylon so not to use it. She even made me take it off my trailer and get a bungee thingy.
