Can anyone tell me please if Equimats are still in business for stable matting? The only website I can find takes me to an industrial/commercial matting page which bears no resemblance to the equine brand, and their Insta and FB have not been active since last year. I just want to replace a couple of mats. Thanks!

Can’t tell you whether still operating, only that I bought sets of Equimats in the early 1990s, which are still going strong today - a friend of mine bought the stable yard ( left her all the fitted mats), she jet washes them once or twice a year and has been delighted. More than twice the period of actual guarantee!
Meanwhile, we’ve worn out various other brand eva horse and cow mats, even a heavy duty set of rubber mats hasn’t worn so well….
Davies and Co, of Kettering were the sellers, who also fitted them (like carpets) for my horses.
If still available - go for it would be my advice.

Yea mine are brilliant and years old, but as I’ve moved yards over the years I’ve had to cut them to fit different stables and now don’t really have enough mat to make a complete set. I need to replace 2 or 3 mats then I’m sorted. They are brilliant! I’ll look up Davies & Co, thank you.

I don’t think they are, I looked last year, as, like you had cut mine to the point they no longer fit. I had mine 20+ years. I bought a set of Arc mats which lasted 1 night and had worn through already (small Arab)

One night?!? Worn through?
What on earth did your Arab do to the mats, chew them up?
Bloody hell.

Oh how annoying, both of your points! I was looking at arc mats as a possible replacement… maybe not then.

No they went under in 2022, as I tried to buy some but bought some really nice mates which are similar from another company https://www.horsematshop.co.uk/tcs/

Don’t bother with Arc mats, they are a pain.

They move, expand, don’t give enough cushioning and get cut up by shod horses so difficult to sweep.

Yep someone I know has them they are rubbish
Had rubber mats down under my wood pellet bedding for 10+ years! Yard move and the person taking over my stable asked whether they could buy my mats off me to leave where they were.

I stupidly said yes (hubbie was happy as we didn’t have to drag them out and refit). I cleaned them and they came up like new, was abit gutted I had agreed to sell them, but hey ho.

Bought some Arc mats and they have just been rubbish, slowly moved them round the stable when they have got cut up and now they are all damaged and lifted in parts. 😡
