Hi all. First of all I just want to say hi, hope your all well and I look forward to being part of this forum.

Basically, I require some advice. I am interested in a career of becoming an Equine Assisted Therapist, has anyone heard of this? Does anyone have any advice on what I would need to do for it, such as courses or uni? At present, I am a final year student nurse, so would this be helpful?

I would appreciate any advice or help you can provide.
 
I have a friend who does this. She was a paediatric physiotherapist first working mostly with children with cerebral palsy. She has now gone freelance and does some hippotherapy and equine assisted therapy. I think she had to go abroad for specific training but will ask her for more info for you.

If you are on FB check out Rainbow horses they pretty much do equine therapy for children and have just applied to be a proper school for special needs (I think)
