This is what greeted me this morning ....

The vet and I thought pink diamonte, a la Katie Price, might be more up his street - what do you reckon, an unexplored equine market?

Personally I think Icy Blue swarovski would look lovely ;)

On a more serious note: OWWWW poor horsey, I wonder how he managed that!?! I am glad Ellie is not the self harming type!

Wowza, that's one for the photo album!
Bless him, what a muppet! Hope it heals quick!

Edit: is that electric tape on the end of it???!

My horse did the same thing last year! Only difference was that he pulled and it ripped his nose. Vet did not do anything except wash it and give him penicillin. I thought it would look awful but you can't even see scar now unless it is pointed out to you! So don't worry wont spoil his good looks!

awww I want to be able to see the (likely sheepish) look on his face too! A bit like.. mum this seemed like a really good idea last night... when I had had a few... am not so sure this morning..

Oh my god!!! I thought the thread title was serious when I read it! Nothing would surprise me anymore...
Perhaps they all had a "get together" last night and it seemed like a good idea at the time...!
I hope he gets better soon!!

He seemed remarkably unbothered by the whole thing!! Was just a 10 minute vet job, sedation, pull it out, flush it, penecillin and tetanus jabs. Should heal just fine fingers crossed.

God knows how he did it, our gates just have a short strand of leccy tape wrapped round with a clip to the gate latch as extra security.

I found him attached to the gate this morning, god knows how long he was there for, was okay at 8.30 last night.

He is currently wearing the Dunce hat

I wonder if he was using it for a nice itchy scratch!

Mine did a similar things years ago, she got a bucket handle loop bit through her nostril, so I found her in the morning with the bucket hanging off her nose :-( Again it healed up really well though so I am sure yours will.
