Anyone done a BSc(Hons) or a FdSc in equine business management? Where did you do it? And how easy was it to find a job from it?

I did rural recreation with tourism management with equine studies which has recently changed to business management (equine) at the Scottish Agricutural college in Ayr. Really enjoyed the course and the college, was lots of job opportunities available to me on completion in the area. But i decided to earn more money and go into a career in renewable energy and keep the equine part as a hobby!

My friend did equine buisness management at cirencester and now has a job in a yard but like me decided more opportunities in renewable energy so doing her master degree in that!

Dont know if thats much help!

If you do a business degree, it can be adapted to an equestrian business - the same is not true the other way around. If you were to do a business degree, and at the same time work at a yard, get your BHS qualifications (3 months off each summer gives you a lot of time to work towards exams), I think you would be infinitely more employable than with an equine business management degree alone.
