Equine careers

I would be interested to hear from those of you with equine based careers. I am looking into getting back involved in the horse world (work wise) + i was wondering what sort of jobs you guys do, how you got into that line of work, the qualifications and the experince you have? any response gratefully recieved! many thanks in advance!

not quite there yet but i am starting a bsc hons in animal behaviour and welfare then doing teacher training to lecture animal and equine college students ! =D
 
i think so yes, there are lots of different units you can pick so you can specialise in different areas. it certainley opens a few doors, dont think i am going to get very far in the equine industry without a degree
 
no i havnt started uni yet, yes most feedbacks are looking for more than a national diploma or they want bhs exams. i applied for a job grooming for the mounted police that my boss recomended me for, as a friend of hers worked there in the mounted branch, i rang them up and they were keen to get me started but said i had to go through an emplyment agency as they couldnt unfortunatly employ me directly, rang the agency and because i didnt have my stage 2 i couldn't do it, although i had a national diploma which is an equivalent with the units i had done. as i want to lecture i have to have a degree in something relevant that i want to teach!
 
i've just started teaching HE equine students......but have just finished working for an engineering company as an equine scientist...
