Equine degree... What now?

So I've graduated from my equine degree and as mad as it sounds, I've always wanted to do a hairdressing apprenticeship when I finish. I applied for my degree last minute, to carry on from my equine studies as a National Diploma.

All was going well, my ideal salon seemed really keen to take me on as an adult apprenticeship until themselves and I realised I can't do it as they can't get the funding due to me having a degree.

So what now? I've tried equine-careers.com but all the jobs are too far from me. Even groom jobs are not local enough at the moment when I look online. What have other people with an equine degree gone into after? I didn't realise till a few months in either that if I wanted to be a veterinary nurse... I should have been on a more specific degree.

It depends, I graduated and then went to work for IPC media, first on HORSE magazine and then for H&H.

I left journalism after a stint on a local paper which finished me for good

I then did a GTP and became a secondary school teacher which I still do part-time alongside running my husband's competition yard...
