Hi

I need a dentist for my horse, the one who I usually use makes excuses everytime he is booked in and has to cancel or doesn't bother cancelling and just doesn't turn up. Any recommendations? What qualifications should they have?

Thanks

I use Paul Waudby - he's good and reliable. Work used Martin Brookes and again he is good and reliable.

I used to use Marcus Fazey and found him good and reliable too!

They're all qualified too.

Another vote for Martin Brooks - he has a website I think.

MArtin Brookes, is absolutely lovely and did a good job on my lads recent major dental work. I have heard bad things about him being a bit keen with the rasp and jaw opener thing but I had no problems and would happily recommend and personally will use him again.

martin brookes equine dentisry - if you google that his site willl come up

I am surprised you have said that about Marcus. Both himself and Paul I Anson are very good friends. I know for sure that if Paul is to busy he would reccommend Marcus. Paul was ill a little while ago and i believe that Marcus took on some his work for him.

martin is by far one of the best around, even after the qualifications ask any of the others what re training they have done?
what he dousnt know isnt worth knowing and he will explain exactly what he is doing and why he is doing it and what affect it has on your horses health and riding.

comparing him to certain others mentioned is a difference like there is between driving a mini metro and a mercedes

as for been keen with a rasp ect thats just rubbish chatted by people who obviously dont understand anything about what has been done,it amazes me how many people say oh so and so dous a great job............lets be truthfull here how many of you actually know enough about horses teeth to know what the difference betwen a good job and a bad one,,,,truth is not many at all...
