As the subject title says really. Our dentist has retired and so now we're looking for a new one

Don't really want one that insists on doing "bit seats"!! We're near Lincoln.

Any help most welcome.

Yep, Amanda Stone gets the thumbs up from me.
She came and did an ex racer of mine that had never had his teeth looked at (he was 7) she spent ages with him, getting him used to the gag, taking it off, putting it on, pretending to rasp with the neoprene ends of the rasps until he was 100% happy, she spent twice as long and still only charged me the usual rate. She does my two others as well, one of them can be very awkward but she is always really patient and is always very professional.

Tom Phillips EVERY TIME. I've used him for eight years and would never use anyone else.

He is very good with naughty and nervous horses. He also tries not to keep the gag on for excessive lengths of time as they get jaw ache.

He is based in Lincolnshire and travels over to Nottinghamshire/Leicestershire to treat mine.

He is on the Equine Dental Technician register and has been for quite a while I think. Definatly reccomended by me and my girlies.

Another vote for Tom Phillips - best person I've ever used - he is BEVA registered and details are on the BEVA website - he's based nr Sleaford

We recently moved to Lincolnshire and through a web search found James Arkley Equine Dental Services, whilst dubious using new dentists we gave him a try, he was absolutely brilliant, he was patient and quiet with our youngsters and when we schooled them the following day, it was evident his work had made a difference. We have now had him back every 6 months and can highly recommend him. The best bit is he only charges £25 per horse! Great given the credit crunch that is upon us. Honestly he really is worth a try if you are struggling to get hold of someone. Another great benefit is he is a qualified instructor so we have had him for jumping lessons and they were better than some of the Masterclass clinics we have been to.
