Hey guys,
Has anyone experience with the Equine DNA testing? Is it a gimmick or are the results accurate? I dont have any recorded breeding for my mare but would love to find out if there is actually some Welsh Cob in her as she looks like one/shows their personality trades.

No experience personally - but I thought that DNA testing could only prove parentage where parentage was already known - for example admission into a studbook. Open to being corrected.

It's that pedigree test where they need hair of the horse with the roots still attached. Its called easydna. I still hope I can find someone who has had experience with it. Just wouldn't want to waste over 100e.

Id like to find out what breed her parents are
I had a quick look at their website and all they do for horse parentage tests is a paternity test, so you would have to provide the parentage DNA too. It would theoretically be possible to look at your horses genome to make a guess at what the parentage was but I don't know of any companies that currently do this.
