I’ve recently passed my NEBOSH diploma in H&S meaning I’m fully qualified in general health & safety. I run my own business specialising in farm/agricultural/estate health & safety. What I would like to do is somehow use my work expertise in a voluntary horsey role helping with risk assessments etc at events. However I have no direct experience of this and have no idea how to get started. Do any of you know where/how I can get some experience in this so I can become a useful volunteer? Thank you.

Maybe contact your most local comp centre, BE event or County show to ask who they use, if they are willing to pass on a contact number? Def emphasise you want to volunteer so you dont get deflected as someone wanting to muscle in though.

Contact you local branch of the Pony Club and offer to help with their risk assessments?
