equine first aid

hi its a really good idea to have a first aid box .in mine ive got;-
small nappies (great for poulticing )
duct tape
sharp scissors
tweezers
hibiscrub
new sponges
cottoon wool roll
vet wrap
large syringe for flushing wounds or giving meds oral
staple remover
antiseptic powder
hydro wound care gel
bute
purple spray
think thats everything-i do like to be prepared:D
with a thermometer its a good idea to take your horses temp and write it down so youll know whats normal for your horse

There is a very good list posted by archiepoo - I think it's up to you to weigh up what you feel is most needed

To be honest if you want help with study subjects why don't you just word your thread to that effect?!

Thanks for your input WelshD, I'm just interested in what people think, study or not. Got to learn somehow!

My top ten would be
Animalintex
vet wrap
nappies
fabric duck tape
hydrogen peroxide
Antiseptic cream
hibiscrub
thermometer
liquid paraffin
syringe
most problems I have had that are instantly treatable are foot abscesses and small cuts everything else needs a vet.I do have a case of danilon for minor lameness issues
