Hi,
Im looking into buying some cold boots, as my boys windgalls are flaring up abit, but also after shows onces hes home his travel boots are all white and sweaty and his legs are hot, despite washing his legs off, he seems to get quite hot legged.

I've got my eye on the equine fitness stay cold boots, which apparently work via evaporative cooling. Has anyone used/got these and how do you rate them???

I prefer the gel bases ones as these keep legs colder for longer but had problems with these leaking gel. Have given up and gone back to bandaging on ice cube bags!

I'd rather buy a pair of ice boots that you put in the freezer, or an instant ice pak that you can stick in the boot of your car, and that you squeeze and shake to activate (they are only a pound from large chemists or off the internet).

I keep my horses wingalls down with Bioflow magnetic boots, he wears them all day/night depending on when he's in the stable.

I did look at buying these at one point, but don't believe the manufacturers claims somehow!

And for instant ice you can't get better than ice cups (polystyrene cups of frozen water placed and moved over swelling to reduce inflammation and pain).

Hey,
I have some veredus magnetic boots for his windgalls, but just having them on his legs seem to get very hot, even when hes done nothing, i find it makes the windgalss smaller in size but alot harder.... so i only use them on and off.
I wonder if anyone has created reusuable instant ice packs, i know theres reusable instant heat ones that you can click to activate.....
