Equine fusion all terrain ultra slim - reviews

Anyone using these. My horse has slightly tricky feet, and cavallo treks whilst in theory fitting, rotate a bit when wobble tested.

My trimmer suggested these may fit awkward feet better.

Any reviews? Looking to use for turnout (about 6 hours) for next month or so, and for light hacking, building to moderate hacking.

I bought the all terrain (not sure if they were slim or not!) for mine as an upgrade from the cavallo sports. I really liked them and whilst more awkward to fit were nice and snug. However after a month or two of wearing they must have stretched and they would constantly twist whilst I was out riding. We would come back from a hack looking like both feet were pointing very much outwards. On contacting the company all the could suggest was putting carpet in them to see if that helped. I ended up buying the treks as I knew the cavallo fitted him nicely. Worth a try as they arent too expensive but I did experience rotation unfortunately, however it could have just been that his feet changed shape again!

Thanks, his shoes came off 13 August, so only about 6 weeks ago, so lots of shape change going on.



He currently has Swiss Galoppers (Size 6L) in front and borrowed Cavallo Trek 4 slims behind.



But his hind feet at triangular, so I am shimming the front quarter of the foot in the boots so they don’t twist. And using pastern wraps as his heels are prone to rubbing.



My trimmer has suggested his feet would be a better shape for the Equine Fusion, all terrain ultra boots.



From googling you can buy ulta, all terrain, original, or ultra all terrain and they are all different.



I am under no illusion that I will probably need different boots again in a few months, as his feet are changing that fast!



I had dispensed with hind boots after two weeks of booted turnout. But his hind soles are now a bit thin, with some bruising behind. So suggestion is try booting behind for another 4 weeks or so. The fronts which have largely stayed booted for turnout and short hacks, are doing better than the unbooted hinds.

I used the Equine fusion Ultimate jogging boots, (I think), they were fab! Did start to rub a little after her feet changed shape but we never lost one and a pair of very fashionable socks sorted out the rubbing.
