Anyone here tried them? They sound and look great and its my next buy as soon as the trimmer comes on fri. They are very expensive though and have been offered a pair of old macs for thirty quid so wondering what to do. Should I get the ones I want for a change or go for the cheap ones that could possibly just as good.

I have them. They are ok - don't rub, stay on. Grip not great - not good on greasy wet grass IME. Not sure how durable they will be in the long term, as they are designed to be lightweight.

I have these. I have to agree with the previous post that they are not good at all in wet/slippy/muddy condtions. However they are perfect for my difficult to fit Tb for going on the road and protecting his still a bit sensitive fronts. They do not rub and stay on brilliantly.
I bought mine from the fab lady at http://www.bitlessandbarefoot.com/hoof-boot-info.php
She was extremely helpful and will let you trial the boots to see how you get on with them.
I deffo recommend giving her a call.
