sorry, I had difficulty getting the above to post. Putting it in tack room just in case anyone is not aware.

I got this from FB the "strangles, EHV and equine influenza UK" group. They haven't managed to narrow it down to a more specific area ATM.

Oh what a pain. At least it sounds like a small yard, and if they've caught it early and think it was probably imported from Ireland, hopefully it won't become too much of a problem... (fingers crossed)
