has anyone had any experience of Tesco equine insurance? Just getting quotes and the difference between Pet Plan (my current insurers) and Tesco is £40 per month!!!!
we have had some training recently at the vets where i work and i am not sure if it is a new thing but vets are allowed to recommend insurance companies BUT they are not allowed to say anything negative about any insurance companies
well they are slowly taking over the world I have had my car insurance through them for about 12 years and they were very good when I was rear-ended by a lorry. I think our house contents is with them and the dog is as well. When I insured the dog with them I declared his skin allergies and checked if that meant they would exclude all other skin conditions-they said no. I suggested they take up equine insurance lol but the chap didn't say they did or dindnt do it and this was only a month ago. I get less cover with Petplan than I did the other insurance company but still pretty good per condition and the other company put my premiums up to £104 per month..
Tesco car Insurance is really good - my partner uses them, but I have never heard of them doing equine insurance. From what cptrayes says, they actually don't.
I am leaning towards it being a scam as well, however I have my dog with them and have had a few claims over the years and they've been brilliant every time
