which is the best. I have just had my renewal through from NFU who I have been with for 3 years and it has DOUBLED to £800.00 P/A! My mare is only insured for accidental death and vets fees of £5k per incident.

I have got online quotes from 3 other insurers, Petplan, same price as NFU
KBIS £550 P/A with £5k vets fees and
Am Trust £450 with £5k vets fees.

If any body is insured with either KBIS or AM Trust could you please let me know if they are good to deal with and what are their weaknesses if any.

Thank you

We're insured with KBIS....

I fully recommend them, as of yet we've not had to claim, but have heard of others who have without a problem.

We had a slight issue with our boy when he was gelded, I called them and they said although they don't usually cover post-op care, complete a claim forward and they would consider it on a case by case basis and try and help us out. As it turns out, we didn't need to, but they didn't out right say no.

Their colic cover is excellent, in comparison to others, I believe.
