I'm unsure on insurance companies but definitely look at joining the countryside alliance if bot already a member as will give you public liability cover while out hunting.
With the insurance companies just double check what they are covering lots are excluding teerh dental work from there standard cover some even have colic cover as an add on.
Check the excess amount as well as horse emporium are a 17% rolling excess and thunk 1 or ti others may be similar

KBIS offer a great deal on their 'Catastrophe cover' which is quite well suited to trail and drag hunting activities. They are really helpful on the phone too.

NFU not the cheapest but have been fantastic over the last 15 years.

Really good customer service currently have a few outstanding claims with them having lost my pony and they have been really helpful and telling me what I am entitled to and liason with vets. Vets admin on the other hand very slow in sorting out the claims paperwork and making some mistakes but I have three complicated claims outstanding with them.
