This survey is part of a research project that is investigating the understanding of public perception surrounding equine joint supplements. The aim of this research is to determine owner perception on the use and effectiveness of equine joint supplements within the United Kingdom. The objectives of the research are to identify if owners value the joint supplement product they purchase and to understand what factors influence owner choice of equine joint supplement products. By understanding what owners/care-givers already know, we can identify areas where knowledge is poor and requires improvement. Feedback is sought from a range of individuals who work or have experience working and feeding or managing feed for horses across the industry. Individual and organisationally identifiable data is not captured within any question in this survey and your anonymous responses will be stored securely and combined with those of many others for analysis.

This research is being undertaken voluntarily within an undergraduate degree taught within the University Centre at Askham Bryan College. The data collected will be used for two key purposes:

1. Within a written report submitted for assessment purposes
2. To share the findings through published academic papers and media articles

The survey is concise and should take no more than 20 minutes to complete.
Should you exit the survey before the end, responses that you made prior to this will still be included for analysis.

Please use the information provided below if you wish to contact the lead researcher.
