Can anyone recommend a practice that treats horses in Central Scotland, specifically Clackmannanshire?

Thank you

Loch Leven Equine Vets are in Kinross and there's also Clyde Vet Group in Lanark who will travel and have a very good reputation.

either or the above. wont go past them, if LL cant do whatever needs doing (major ops etc) they will send to lanark. had experience with them both and still use LL, wont go past them x

There is also the Provost Vets at Ladybank so not overly far away. If you go to Loch Leven then be prepaired for overly expensive vets fees :D Though they do have portable x-ray and ultrasound machines. Clyde Valley are very, very good vets and I would recommend them for any major mishap your horse get's into. For your bog standard vaccs and simple things I would just go to the local vets near you and ask if they can do such things before you sign up to major over pricing :D

Hi,

I recently went to Clyde Valley for a second opinion on my horse lameness which has been ongoing for 7 months and found them very professional and helpful....plus they pinpointed what needed to be MRI'd and sorted that out asap. Definitely reccommend!

Thanks, unfortunately I'm too far out for Clyde as they would be my first choice.

Any other suggestions welcome!

Thank again for the replies

I use Inglis Vets (dunfermline) and they are great just a local vet and they send us to clyde vets if its anything major and they are fantastic.

Have heard Loch Leven to be very expensive and to also carry out treatment that is not necessarily needed.
