Has anyone had any dealings with EqWest vets, Tavistock, Devon? Are they any good? Is there a vet there you recommend? If not, any other equine vet suggestions much appreciated. My gelding has a very sore back and i need to get it looked into.

I dont know equest, I use St Davids Equine, who are based in Lympstone near Exeter but have vets based near Okehampton as well. Whereabouts are you there are several Devonians on here who could probably help you.

I use Western Counties Equine, and vet Simon, always very caring but 'sensible' vets too, not out to get every penny they can from you. Really good hospital and equipment facilities too if needed.

I am not with them although am going there for an evening talk on Laminitis next week. I used to use Calweton when I shared a horse with my friend based near Plymouth.

Interesting, I would say completely the opposite.

I use Dilliway & Bosley, they're in Wellington so probably too far away from you.

I have used Eqwest in the past, however due to an incident years ago i've been put off using them again. I now am registered with Calweton.

Mixed views on Eqwest. If you are in Plymouth highly recomend Filham Park Vets (formerly Gabriells Grills and Assossiates) from Ivybridge. David there is brilliant. Older gentleman but very knowledgeable and doesnt try to milk you for money. If you like PM me about them for numbers or referance for both and im near Plymouth.
