Hi, I have a Equipe expression special jumping saddle that I bought brand new 6 months ago and has had very little use as Knightly unfortunately had to be put to sleep after an accident in the field :( So I then bought Bacardi a few months later which is a young Dutch warmblood with no existence of a top line and a typical foreign long flat back so we had the saddler out to check the fit of the saddle and thankfully it fit so after a lot of hard work he has put on a lot of top line which has improved his over all shape :) but with all the hill and core work he suddenly he got these massive shoulders and because of the saddle being forward cut it has just started making the saddle move back so with his flat back it makes that saddle rock forward hitting his spine  so I got off him straight away and contacted the saddler and he thinks he can adjust the size
But I was looking on the internet and there was a lot of people said that they had theirs adjusted but it went back to its original shape or it damaged the tree and with the last saddle I had adjusted the person snapped the tree  so im realy nervous of getting it done as I paid a lot of money to get it :(
I absolutley love the saddle and to me it's the most comfortable and position helping saddle i've sat on :) And i dont want to get ripped off by part ex for another saddle cause it the end of the day he is a business man
The saddle has very little ware and has just started to get the marks wear the stirrup leathers lie and with a lot of love and care it still looks brand new :) So any help on this subject will be much appreciated (sorry with the over load of information :o)

I would speak to the manufacturers and ask them about tree adjustments. I adjust the trees in wooden treed saddles, only the brands I sell mind, and if I break one it is my liability to fix it. I am under the impression that even if I got customers to sign a disclaimer, perhaps where they want a tree widened where I feel it is too old, I would still be liable.

IF, and only if, the saddle otherwise fits, using the back balance styrap for girthing, usually 2 and 4 as it were, should help stop the saddle drifting backwards.
