I have just been sent this link by Equisafety, although therein lies another tale as I have no idea how they got hold of my work email address!

That's one of the worst petitions I've seen for quite some time - to make riders imune from prosecution for impersonating a police officer by wearing certain items of clothing.

... and worse still specifically items sold only by one particular retailer who now doesn't seem so confident that what they've been selling for years is legal

Despite owning a Polite tabard myself, I refuse to sign this on the grounds that anyone who posts a petition online without first checking their use of lower/ upper case 'i' and question marks is not someone to be taken seriously...
