Hello,
Does anyone know anywhere in either Shropshire or Staffordshire that does equisimulator lessons?
My New Year resolution this year is to improve my riding skills and I figure an equisimulator whilst I fidget around getting my alignment right would be so much kinder on my horse's back!
Warmest wishes & Bright Blessings

Sol, absolutely fabulous! Thank you! I'll contact them both. I'm only sorry I can't send you a smiley face ('cos I'm rubbish on these things and I haven't worked out how nor where they are yet!) So please imagine a big smiley grin!!!
Bright Blessings

Not in Shrops, but New Barn in Cheshire has a simulator http://newbarnriders.webs.com/hireourfacilities.htm
I've had several sessions on Rocky the Riding simulator at New Barn, and can thoroughly recommend it! Tip, take a camcorder and small tripod and you can leave it running to film the whole session.

Rocky even transitions if you use your seat correctly! There are mirrors to the side and front so that you can see what you are up to. You can use your own saddle if you bring it with you.

Thanks for the tip Tiddlypom, I'll take my saddle when I go. I've heard that the simulator helps if you're a little nervous in canter. Is this true?

The simulator helps if you are nervous full stop! It is great to concentrate entirely on your position for a few sessions without worrying about how the horse is going. A half hour session at a time is plenty.
